Met Card – ‘One card for everything’

Students at Cardiff Met

When you've enrolled at Cardiff Met, you'll have your photo taken and be given your Cardiff Met student card (Met Card).

It's essential you carry your Met Card with you at all times while on campus.

Your Met Card is more than just an ID card; it gives you access to library services (you'll need it to borrow books and resources), self-service printing and copying, access to buildings on campus, and your accommodation if you're a residential student.

You'll also need your Met Card if you join the University's gym, or if you have one of Cardiff Met's scholarships or bursaries.

If you cycle to University you'll need it to access the free cycle shelters.

Campus Access

You'll need your Met Card to get you through the University's main buildings and sometimes course-specific classrooms or teaching areas, so make sure you carry it at all times.

Adding money to your Met Card

You'll need to add some money to your Met Card so you can use the self-service printers and copiers. The easiest way to add money to your card is to top up online using PayPal or WorldPay:

https://tsr.cardiffmet.ac.uk/_layouts/Custom/PaymentForm.aspx

You can also add money in the University's Print Studio's using cash, credit or debit card.

Print Studio offer a wide range of services such as: sticker/vinyl printing, business cards, personal printing (invitations, photos, banners), canvases, personalised clothing and photobooks.

Spending money on your Met Card

Once you've added money to your Met Card you can spend it in any of the University's cafes as payment instead of cash or card. Just hand your card to the till operator and ask them to use the money on the card.

You can also earn loyalty points in the University's cafes. For every £1 spent you get 1 point.
