​Mae Syed yn ddarlithydd mewn Economeg yn yr Ysgol Reoli ym Mhrifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd. Astudiodd MSc Economeg a Chyllid ac yn ddiweddarach MS Economeg o Ysgol Economeg Lahore, Pacistan. Yna enillodd radd MPhil mewn Economeg o Brifysgol Bond, Awstralia. Yn ddiweddarach, derbyniodd Syed radd Doethuriaeth mewn Economeg o Brifysgol Griffith, Awstralia.

Mae Syed wedi gweithio fel cydymaith ymchwil ac addysgu yn Ysgol Economeg Lahore, Pacistan. Mae hefyd wedi gwasanaethu fel darlithydd yng Ngholeg Cristnogol Forman (Prifysgol Siartredig), ym Mhacistan. Roedd Syed hefyd yn dal swyddi Cymrawd Dysgu ym Mhrifysgol Bond (Aws) a Phrifysgol Griffith, Awstralia.


Addysgu.

​Mae Syed wedi dysgu cyrsiau amrywiol ar lefelau israddedig ac ôl-raddedig. Mae ganddo brofiad o addysgu Economeg Sylfaenol, Macroeconomeg, Economeg Ryngwladol, Economeg Ariannol, Ystadegau Busnes, Dadansoddi Polisi Economaidd a Dadansoddeg Data Busnes. Mae Syed wedi goruchwylio myfyrwyr BSc (Anrh.) ac MBA/MSc mewn prosiectau ymchwil a thraethodau hir.
