Trosolwg/bywgraffiad byr

​Dr. Sheikh Tahir Bakhsh wedi derbyn Medal Aur gan y Rheithor COMSATS, Abbottabad, Pacistan ar gyfer ennill y safle 1af yn MCS yn Awst 2006. Mae Dr. Tahir wedi derbyn y Ph.D. mewn Cyfrifiaduron a Gwyddorau Gwybodaeth o Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia yn 2012. Mae'n gweithio ym Met Caerdydd fel Uwch Ddarlithydd. Mae wedi gweithio fel Athro Cyswllt yng nghyfadran Cyfrifiadura a Thechnoleg Gwybodaeth, Prifysgol King Abdul Aziz, Saudi Arabia. Yn y gorffennol mae wedi cwblhau prosiect LTE HICI gyda chydweithrediad Stanford. Mae hefyd wedi cyfarwyddo prosiectau graddedigion ac israddedigion. Mae ei feysydd ymchwil o ddiddordebau yn cynnwys rhwydwaith Bluetooth, rhwydwaith synhwyrydd diwifr (WSN), WBANs, Seiberddiogelwch, Rhyngrwyd Pethau, technoleg glyfar, Peirianneg Meddalwedd, rhwydwaith ad hoc symudol (MANET), a rhwydweithiau cyfrifiadurol. Mae'n gweithio'n bennaf ar ddyluniadau protocol rhwydwaith diwifr gan optimeiddio perfformiad rhwydweithiau. Bu'n ymwneud â dylunio protocol corfforol cysylltiedig â phrosiect ar gyfer gwasgariad Bluetooth. Cefnogir ei ymchwil yn ariannol gan sawl grant. Mae wedi ysgrifennu nifer o bapurau ymchwil o ansawdd uchel mewn cynadleddau a chyfnodolion rhyngwladol dyfarnedig. Mae hefyd yn gwasanaethu fel adolygydd ar gyfer Springer, Elsevier, ac IEEE: gwahanol gyfnodolion ffactor effaith uchel.  Mae wedi bod yn rhan o fwy nag 20 cynhadledd a gweithdy mewn sawl swyddogaeth, megis y cadeirydd ac aelod o bwyllgor rhaglen dechnegol. Mae wedi cwblhau mwy na 25 o brosiectau ymchwil yn llwyddiannus. 

Addysgu.

​Mae cyfrifoldebau Bakhsh yn seiliedig ar gydlynu a rheoli cyfleuster ymchwil ac addysgu cyrsiau israddedig ac ôl-raddedig yn yr adran. Dysgodd y cwrs ôl-raddedig mewn MS Rhwydwaith Uwch; fel rhan o hyn, darlithiodd fodiwl craidd ar brotocolau rhwydwaith a dealltwriaeth oblygiad y mater. Sylfaen yr asesiad yw cyfres o arferion sy'n canolbwyntio ar dechnolegau hybrid a ddatblygwyd yn fy nghanolfan ymchwil ar ddysgu, ymwybyddiaeth a datblygiad ôl-raddedig. Bu’n dysgu amrywiol gyrsiau o fewn Adrannau ar lefel israddedig/graddedig ac yn dyfeisio mecanweithiau dysgu a throsglwyddo gwybodaeth newydd mewn ystafelloedd dosbarth ac yn hyrwyddo dysgu effeithiol/defnyddiol.

Ymchwil

Mae wedi sicrhau grantiau ymchwil ar Seiberddiogelwch, Rhyngrwyd Pethau, a Chyfrifiadura Niwl gan Ddeoniaeth Ymchwil Wyddonol, y Weinyddiaeth Addysg. Fel siaradwr rhyngwladol, mae wedi rhoi darlithoedd a thiwtorialau ar bynciau uwch-dechnoleg a rhai sy'n dod i'r amlwg ym maes rhwydweithiau a systemau economeg Seiberddiogelwch a chyfathrebu diwifr mewn amryw gynadleddau, gweithdai a seminarau. Mae ganddo gefndir Ymchwil a Datblygu Eithriadol gyda dealltwriaeth weithredol gadarn o dechnegau a thopolegau ad hoc symudol a synhwyrydd symudol. Gwybodaeth dda o safonau diwifr, gan gynnwys IEEE 802.xx ac IEEE SA. Mae ganddo sgiliau ymarferol i bontio ymchwil trwy gaffael grantiau (ysgrifennu grantiau cystadleuol), cydweithredu ac ymgynghori, ynghyd â chysyniadoli, nodi problemau, cynhyrchu damcaniaethau, ymchwil, dadansoddi ac adrodd.
