Ymunodd Shadan Khan Khattak ag Ysgol Dechnolegau Caerdydd fel Uwch Ddarlithydd ym mis Tachwedd 2020. Mae ei arbenigedd mewn Cyfathrebu Amlgyfrwng a Phrosesu Signalau. Cyn ymuno â Met Caerdydd, bu’n gweithio fel Athro Cynorthwyol ym Mhrifysgol King Faisal, Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. Gweithiodd hefyd fel Athro Cynorthwyol ym Mhrifysgol COMSATS Islamabad, Pacistan, rhwng 2014 a 2017. Rhwng 2017 a 2018, bu Shadan yn gweithio fel Peiriannydd Ymchwil a Datblygu yng Nghanolfan Ymchwil a Datblygu Panasonic Singapore. Mae diddordebau ymchwil Shadan mewn cyfathrebu delwedd a fideo. Mae ganddo sawl cyhoeddiad mewn cyfnodolion a chynadleddau uchel eu pharch a adolygir gan gymheiriaid yn y meysydd hyn gan gynnwys IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Signal Processing: Cyfathrebu Delwedd, a'r Symposiwm Codio Lluniau. Mae'n aelod o IEEE ac mae'n adolygydd ar gyfer sawl cyfnodolyn honedig a adolygir gan gymheiriaid.
