Fy rôl yng Nghanolfan Diwydiant Bwyd ZERO2FIVE

Mae fy niddordebau ac arbenigeddau academaidd allweddol yn cynnwys penderfynu a chysylltu gwybyddol (gwybodaeth, agweddau, canfyddiadau risg ac arferion hunan-gofnodedig), data ymddygiadol a microbiolegol i asesu/gwerthuso risgiau diogelwch bwyd. Mae hyn hefyd yn cynnwys datblygu a gwerthuso deunyddiau addysg/cyfathrebu diogelwch bwyd â ffocws uchel ac ymyriadau ar gyfer 'cynulleidfaoedd sydd mewn perygl' wedi'u targedu a sectorau yn y diwydiant bwyd a diod.

Mae fy rôl yng Nghanolfan Diwydiant Bwyd ZERO2FIVE (FIC) yn cynnwys amrywiaeth o ddulliau ymchwil i hwyluso gwerthuso prosiectau diwydiant bwyd a diod Llywodraeth Cymru/Undeb Ewropeaidd gan gynnwys KITE (1998-2015) a phrosiect HELIX (2016- hyd heddiw). Mae hyn yn cynnwys meincnodi diogelwch bwyd/cydymffurfiadau technegol yn y diwydiant bwyd a gwerthuso effaith ymyrraeth; cysylltu a chymharu dylanwadau ymddygiadol gwybyddol a defnyddio data i asesu diwylliant diogelwch bwyd o fewn cwmnïau prosesu a gweithgynhyrchu bwyd (a diod). Yn ogystal, mae fy ymchwil yn cynnwys cymhwyso cadwyn werth a dadansoddi cadwyn gyflenwi busnesau gweithgynhyrchu a phrosesu bwyd a diod (FDMP).

Mae cyfrifoldebau ychwanegol yn cynnwys goruchwylio astudiaethau ôl-ddoethuriaeth, PhD ac ymchwil israddedig ym meysydd ymchwil yn seiliedig ar ddefnyddwyr, diogelwch/hylendid bwyd, gofal iechyd a'r diwydiant bwyd. Ymhlith y prosiectau allweddol mae: ymddygiadau diogelwch bwyd oedolion hŷn sy'n gysylltiedig â listeriosis; lleihau gwastraff mewn busnesau bach a chanolig FDMP (BBaChau); cynhyrchu bwyd ac effeithlonrwydd gwasanaeth mewn ysbytai; dietegwyr yn cyflwyno gwybodaeth am ddiogelwch bwyd i gleifion cemotherapi, arennol a HIV/AIDS; diwylliant diogelwch bwyd a diogelwch bwyd cwmnïau hedfan mewn sefydliadau arlwyo bach.

Rwy'n cymryd rhan weithredol yn y cynnig/ysgrifennu’r cais/cyflwyno a gweithredu astudiaethau ymchwil eraill gan gynnwys: Strategaethau diogelwch bwyd ar gyfer cleifion canser; Gwerthusiad o dderbynioldeb ymyriadau diogelwch bwyd a maeth bwyd-seiliedig ar bapur ar gyfer gofalwyr cleifion cemotherapi: astudiaeth beilot; Asesiad arsylwi hylendid dwylo mewn busnesau bach a chanolig FDMP yn Ne Cymru ac Asesiad o wybodaeth diogelwch bwyd ar gyfer dietegwyr.

Profiad Blaenorol

Gyda mwy nag 20 mlynedd o brofiad ymchwil, rwyf wedi ymgymryd ag ymchwil mewn amrywiaeth o feysydd yn ymwneud â diogelwch/hylendid bwyd ac ymddygiad trin bwyd mewn ystod o leoliadau gan gynnwys yr amgylchedd domestig, ysbytai, meithrinfeydd dydd, amgylcheddau gwasanaeth bwyd, cwmnïau hedfan ac yn y diwydiant bwyd.

Rwyf wedi bod yn gyfrifol ac wedi cyfrannu, goruchwylio a bod yn brif ymchwilydd ar gyfer nifer o brosiectau ymchwil dulliau cymysg ac amlddisgyblaethol ar gyfer sefydliadau fel Asiantaeth Safonau Bwyd y DU, Laboratoires Rivadis a Llywodraeth Cymru. Mae hyn wedi cynnwys gweithio gyda chydweithredwyr cenedlaethol/rhyngwladol, gan gynnwys Prifysgol Wageningen, y GIG, PHLS a chwmnïau ymchwil marchnad. Mae’r ymchwil a wnaed wedi arwain at gyfres clidwiw o gyhoeddiadau (awdur mwy na 130 o gyhoeddiadau/cyfraniadau cynhadledd a adolygwyd gan gymheiriaid 1996-2016).
