Lowri's research interests focus on physical literacy, Physical Education in primary schools, the Health and Well-being Area of Learning and Experience and children's engagement in physical activity.  Publications include:

Lowri delivers on modules in the areas of Physical Education and pedagogy through the mediums of Welsh and English. She is the module leader for SSP4919 Cyflwyniad i Addysg Gorfforol a Chwaraeon Ieuenctid and SSP5920 Addysg Gorfforol a Chwaraeon Ieuenctid. Lowri also teaches on SSP5900 Reseach Process and supervises undergraduate dissertations in the area of Sport and Physical Education.

Lowri competed to a regional standard in gymnastics. She later coached gymnastics and won Sport Caerphilly's Coach of the Year Award in 2013.
