Mae hi hefyd yn aelod o Dîm Cynllunio Rheolaeth Ysgol Chwaraeon Caerdydd ac yn gyfarwyddwr anweithredol ar gyfer Gymnasteg Prydain a Sefydliad Gymnasteg Prydain. Mae gan Nicola brofiad sylweddol o arwain prosiectau allanol a thimau prosiect.  

Cyn ailymuno ag Addysg Uwch, roedd gan Nicola 12 mlynedd o brofiad mewn polisi cyhoeddus, gan gynnwys rôl Pennaeth Polisi a Chysylltiadau Corfforaethol yng Nghyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Casnewydd yn ogystal â gweithio yng Nghyngor Sir Caerdydd a Chwaraeon Cymru.

Mae gan Nicola brofiad sylweddol o ddatblygu cynigion a rheoli prosiectau menter ac ymchwil dan gontract. Yn 2015, cysylltodd â RCS y DU a ddewiswyd i gynnal y gwerthusiad ymchwil ar gyfer Calls For Action. Rhaglen a ariennir gan Sport Wales yw hon a fydd yn gweithredu tan 2018.

Yn chwaraewr Lacrosse Rhyngwladol o Gymru am 12 mlynedd, bu Nicola yn gapten ar y tîm rhwng 1990-1992.
