Profill

Mae Britt yn ymchwilydd rhyngddisgyblaethol sydd â phrofiad o gymhwyso theori seicolegol i iechyd y cyhoedd ac ymchwil droseddegol. Mae ei hymchwil yn archwilio sut mae dylanwadau seicolegol a chymdeithasol yn siapio ymddygiadau iechyd pobl ifanc, ynghyd â nodi cyfleoedd ar gyfer datblygu a gwerthuso ymyrraeth. Mae ganddi ddiddordeb arbennig yn y modd y mae lleoliadau a chyd-destunau ar gyfer defnyddio amser hamdden (ee cyfranogiad chwaraeon, sgowtiaid a grwpiau cymunedol eraill) yn siapio'r defnydd o sylweddau. Er mwyn cefnogi ei dull rhyngddisgyblaethol mae'n defnyddio dulliau cymysg, er ei bod yn brofiadol yn bennaf mewn dulliau meintiol gan ddefnyddio astudiaethau carfan hydredol ac arolygon cenedlaethol ar raddfa fawr.

Cyn darlithio Seicoleg ym Mhrifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd, bu Britt yn gweithio fel ymchwilydd ôl-ddoethurol yn y Ganolfan Datblygu a Gwerthuso Ymyriadau Cymhleth ar gyfer Gwella Iechyd y Cyhoedd (DECIPher) ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd lle datblygodd arbenigedd mewn dulliau ymchwil ar gyfer datblygu a gwerthuso ymyrraeth.

Prif ddiddordebau ymchwil Britt yw:

  • Penderfynyddion cymdeithasol a seicolegol defnyddio sylweddau glasoed
  • Amser hamdden wedi'i drefnu ac ymddygiadau iechyd cysylltiedig mewn poblogaethau
  • Methodoleg datblygu a gwerthuso ymyrraeth
  • Gweithgareddau dargyfeiriol fel ymyriadau i leihau'r defnydd o sylweddau a throsedd
