Who should attend?

The academic culture and expectations at Cardiff Met may be different to what you have experienced in your home country. In the academic writing seminars, our aim is to improve your confidence by teaching you new academic skills and giving you the chance to practise them in a safe and friendly enviorment.

What happens in Academic Writing Seminars?

In these seminars we will cover a range of topics such as essay writing, referencing, presenting and critical thinking. These seminars are interactive and practical and you will need to be prepared to speak to other students and participate in group discussions.

Do I need to book?

There is no need to book the Academic Writing Seminars, simply turn up on the day.  Autumn 2018 schedules now available: Llandaff campus and Cyncoed campus.
