Proffil

Mae fy arbenigedd ymchwil yn canolbwyntio'n bennaf ar ddatblygu mesurau sensitif a dibynadwy ar gyfer canfod y camweithrediad clywedol. Rwyf wedi arwain sawl prosiect ymchwil gan gynnwys datblygu a chymhwyso system newydd yn glinigol er mwyn mesur nodweddion deinamig y glust ganol a model cyfrifiadurol elfen gyfyngedig o system y glust ganol. Yn ogystal, rwyf hefyd wedi arwain prosiect ar addysg colli clyw a diogelu clyw a achosir gan ddatguddiad i gerddoriaeth, sy'n bwriadu darparu tystiolaeth i wella iechyd clyw cyhoeddus. Dros y blynyddoedd diwethaf, rwyf wedi derbyn sawl cyllid ymchwil gan gyrff grantiau allanol. Y rhain yw EPSRC, RNID, y Cyngor Prydeinig, yr Academi Brydeinig, Sefydliad Sasakawa a'r Gymdeithas Frenhinol.

Mae fy arbenigedd addysgu yn bennaf ym maes Clywedeg Glinigol yn ogystal â rhai meysydd generig, er enghraifft, dulliau ymchwil, adolygiad llenyddiaeth, meddygaeth ar sail tystiolaeth ac anhwylderau ENT.

Mae fy arbenigedd rheoli yn ymwneud â 1] rheolaeth academaidd, gan gynnwys dylunio cyrsiau a datblygu modiwlau yn bennaf ar gyfer rhaglenni is-raddedig ac ôl-raddedig; a 2] rheolaeth weinyddol, gan gynnwys datrys problemau, sefydlu cysylltiadau cydweithredol â chymunedau proffesiynol a'r awdurdod iechyd lleol.
