Proffil

Mae Kieran Hodgkin yn Ddarlithydd mewn Astudiaethau Addysg yn yr Ysgol Addysg ym Mhrifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd. Yn ddiweddar, cwblhaodd Kieran ei PhD ym mis Gorffennaf 2014. Canolbwyntiodd ei ymchwil ar ddisgwyliadau a phrofiadau disgyblion o'r cyfnod pontio cynradd-uwchradd gyda ffocws penodol ar Addysg Gorfforol (Add Gorff). Ar hyn o bryd mae Kieran yn cymryd rhan mewn prosiect ymchwil cydweithredol gydag Ysgol Chwaraeon a Gwyddorau Iechyd Caerdydd a Chwaraeon Cymru. Mae'r prosiect yn archwilio hyder a chymhelliant myfyrwyr TAR cynradd i ddysgu Add Gorff: Goblygiadau i lythrennedd corfforol disgyblion.

Mae Kieran yn gweithio ochr yn ochr â chydweithwyr o Ysgol Gwyddorau Chwaraeon ac Iechyd Caerdydd i archwilio profiadau pontio myfyrwyr israddedig rhwng Addysg Bellach ac Addysg Uwch. Yn ddiweddar, mae Kieran wedi dechrau goruchwylio Ymchwil Ôl-raddedig fel rhan o'i rôl gydag Ysgol Addysg a Pholisi Cymdeithasol Caerdydd.
