Mae Dr Jon Pigott yn uwch ddarlithydd wedi'i leoli yn Ysgol Gelf a Dylunio Caerdydd sy'n dysgu ar draws rhaglenni israddedig ac ôl-raddedig, ac yn goruchwylio ymgeiswyr PhD. Mae ymchwil ac ymarfer creadigol Jon yn gorwedd ym maes celf-gwyddoniaeth-technoleg ac o fewn meysydd celf sain, cerflunio cinetig ac astudiaethau gwyddoniaeth a thechnoleg (STS). Gyrrir ei ymchwil a'i addysgu yn aml gan ddull sy'n seiliedig ar ymarfer sy'n cynnwys amrywiol brosesau gwneud fel gwneuthuriad digidol ac electroneg wedi'i wneud â llaw. Cyn ymuno â'r byd academaidd, bu Jon yn gweithio yn y diwydiant cerddoriaeth a sain gan ddod yn rheolwr technegol Real World Studios, gan helpu i ddwyn nifer o brosiectau cerddoriaeth a ffilm proffil uchel i rym. Dyfarnwyd PhD Jon, dan y teitl Materials, Systems and Autonomy in Electromechanical Sound Art gan Brifysgol Bath Spa yn 2017. Mae’n Uwch Gymrawd o’r Academi Addysg Uwch.
