'Deall sut mae symudiad yn gysylltiedig â risg o anafiadau a pherfformiad'

Mae Dr. Moore yn Ddarlithydd mewn Meddygaeth Chwaraeon ac Ymarfer Corff ac ymunodd â'r ysgol yn 2013 fel ymchwilydd ôl-ddoethurol a daeth yn ddarlithydd yn 2015. Treuliodd Dr. Moore chwe blynedd ym Mhrifysgol Caerwysg, gan gwblhau ei gradd israddedig a'i thesis PhD dan y teitl "Running self-optimisation Acute and short-term adaptations to running mechanics and running economy". Ar hyn o bryd mae ei hymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ailhyfforddi symudiad rhedeg ac mae hi hefyd yn gweithio ar sawl prosiect epidemioleg anafiadau, gan gynghori Cyrff Llywodraethu Cenedlaethol ar strategaethau atal a rheoli anafiadau.

Mae hi wedi cyhoeddi mewn nifer o gyfnodolion rhyngwladol a adolygir gan gymheiriaid ac mae ganddi brofiad o gynnal asesiadau symudiad biomecanyddol ar gyfer ystod o athletwyr elit a rhai heb fod yn elît (rhedwyr, triathletwyr, sbrintwyr wedi colli aelodau, y morlu, chwaraewyr rygbi a chwaraewyr tennis).

Diddordebau Ymchwil a Chyhoeddiadau

Diddordebau Ymchwil:

Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar sut a pham rydyn ni'n symud y ffordd rydyn ni'n gwneud. Mae hyn yn golygu deall sut mae symudiad yn gysylltiedig â risgo anafiadau a pherfformiad, y ddau brif yrrwr y tu ôl i batrymau symud. Yn benodol, rwy'n archwilio sut mae rhedwyr yn mireinio'u techneg ac yn defnyddio egwyddorion i ymchwilio i sut y gellir ailhyfforddi symudiad rhedeg er mwyn lleddfu symptomau anafiadau gor-ddefnyddio rhannau isaf y goes. Mae gan ein gwefan Grŵp Ymchwil Symudiadau Dynol y wybodaeth ddiweddaraf am brosiectau ymchwil sydd ar y gweill ar hyn o bryd (https://sites.google.com/site/humanmovementresearch/).

Ochr yn ochr â'r gwaith hwn, rwy'n cynnal ymchwil i epidemioleg anafiadau mewn chwaraeon elît. Mae’r canlyniadau'n bwydo i mewn i raglenni atal anafiadau a ddefnyddir mewn cyd-destunau ymarferol.
