Mae Dr Esyin Chew yn academydd rhyngddisgyblaethol sy'n gweithio gyda robotiaid dynolffurf a wellodd y gwaith o asesu a rhoi adborth mewn addysg a gofal iechyd. Cyn ymuno â Phrifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd, hi oedd y Cydlynydd ar gyfer y rhaglen Meistr mewn Systemau Gwybodaeth Busnes ac roedd hefyd yn Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn TG ym Mhrifysgol Monash ym Malaysia. Roedd Esyin yn ymgynghorydd academaidd annibynnol cyn Monash, yn Uwch Ddarlithydd yn y Ganolfan Ragoriaeth mewn Dysgu ac Addysgu (CELT), Prifysgol De Cymru ac yn Ddarlithydd yn y Gyfadran Cyfrifiadureg a TG, Prifysgol Malaya.  

Gan arbenigo mewn dylunio apiau robotig a thechnolegau addysgol, mae Esyin yn darparu gweithdai ymgynghoriaeth academaidd a gweithdai hyfforddi ar gyfer ystod eang o ddyfeisiau addysgol fel Turnitin & GradeMark, systemau ymateb personol, gofodau dysgu ac ystafelloedd dosbarth gwrthdro (flipped). Mae hi wedi hwyluso gweithredu dysgu cyfunol sefydliadol, datblygu staff ac arferion gorau / datblygu polisi TEL ar gyfer addysg uwch. Gyda'i chyfraniad o ran rhagoriaeth addysgu ac ymchwil addysgol, rhoddwyd iddi statws Cymrawd Academi Addysg Uwch y DU er 2011. Gwahoddir Esyin fel adolygydd ar gyfer amryw o gyfnodolion wedi’u mynegeio a chynadleddau rhyngwladol. Cyn ei gyrfa academaidd, roedd Esyin yn beiriannydd meddalwedd yn Malaysia and e-Business Ltd Grŵp Acer, gan gyfrannu at ddatblygiad system fancio ar-lein gyntaf Malaysia a system EIS ar y we Acer ar ddiwedd yr 1990au.   

Gyda'r cysylltiad academaidd a diwydiannol, mae Esyin yn ymchwilydd gweithredol sydd wedi arwain ychydig o brosiectau a ariannwyd gan y llywodraeth, prifysgolion a diwydiant o'r UE, Awstralia, Malaysia a'r DU. Goruchwyliodd Esyin fyfyrwyr PhD a myfyrwyr gradd Meistr gyda diddordeb arbennig mewn roboteg a dadansoddeg. Yn ogystal, mae hi'n mwynhau chwarae gyda’i dwy ferch a gwasanaethu Duw trwy wasanaethu eraill.
