Mae Dr Dewi Jaimangal-Jones yn Brif Ddarlithydd mewn Rheoli Digwyddiadau ac yn Gyfarwyddwr Rhaglen ar gyfer y rhaglen BA Rheoli Digwyddiadau yn Ysgol Reoli Caerdydd. Mae'n aelod gweithgar o'r Gymdeithas Addysg Rheoli Digwyddiadau (AEME), yn Gymrawd Dysgu Cenedlaethol yr AAU ac yn hyfforddwr PM4SD achrededig.

Mae llawer o'i ymchwil gyhoeddedig a adolygwyd gan gymheiriaid wedi canolbwyntio ar ddigwyddiadau a gwyliau cerdd, yn enwedig y dylanwadau sy'n cyfrannu at adeiladu a defnyddio profiadau gŵyl gyfoes, agweddau cyfranogwyr, eu cymhellion i gymryd rhan a'u hoffterau ar gyfer profiadau digwyddiadau. Mae hefyd wedi cyhoeddi gwaith ar ddiwylliant cerddoriaeth ddawns, adeiladu cymdeithasol gofodau digwyddiadau, y rôl y mae'r cyfryngau yn ei chwarae wrth adeiladu a defnyddio profiadau digwyddiadau a chymhwyso methodolegau ethnograffig ar gyfer ymchwil digwyddiadau.

Mae prosiect ymchwil diweddar yn cynnwys gwerthuso effaith economaidd cynnal Stopover Caerdydd Ras Cefnfor Volvo ym mis Gorffennaf 2018 a gwerthusiad effaith economaidd Rowndiau Terfynol Cynghrair Pencampwyr UEFA 2017 ar ran Cymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru ac Uned Digwyddiadau Mawr Llywodraeth Cymru.

Mae hefyd wedi gweithio gyda'r Asiantaeth Sicrhau Ansawdd fel arbenigwr pwnc ar adolygiad 2015-2016 o'r Datganiadau Meincnod Pwnc ar gyfer Digwyddiadau, Lletygarwch, Hamdden, Chwaraeon a Thwristiaeth. Roedd yn Gynghorydd Academaidd i WCVA ar eu prosiect Gwirfoddoli Digwyddiad Spirit of 2012 ac mae wedi gweithio gydag amrywiaeth o sefydliadau a sefydliadau i ddatblygu safonau proffesiynol mewn gwirfoddoli ac addysg Rheoli Digwyddiadau.

Mae wedi dysgu ac yn parhau i ddysgu ar draws ystod eang o fodiwlau ym maes Rheoli Digwyddiadau ar lefel israddedig, ôl-raddedig a doethuriaeth.
