Valladolid University in Spain

Information:

‘I have had a very interesting and enjoyable week in the University of Valladolid, an institution that is extremely active internationally.  I have learnt about many different projects and about how the university’s bilateral partnerships are created. I have learnt about the different parts of the International Office, for example welfare, ERASMUS, partnerships, and other EU projects, which I did not have much information about previously and which will help me to understand more about my colleagues’ roles at Cardiff Metropolitan. Furthermore, my language skills have improved having being immersed in Spanish all week in the office.
The staff members in the two offices I have worked in have been extremely welcoming and have taught me as much as possible about their roles, as well as asking questions about higher education in the UK.
My experience at the University of Valladolid has greatly improved my knowledge of international higher education and has motivated me to get involved in projects that are outside of my normal role at Cardiff Metropolitan.
I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to visit the University of Valladolid (thanks to the Outward Mobility team at Cardiff Metropolitan!) and would not hesitate to encourage colleagues to apply for a scholarship through the Santander programme.’
