English Language Training Centre (ELTC)

Welcome to the English Language Training Centre at Cardiff Metropolitan

Whether you need a foundation course to enter university, want to enter a post graduate course, or need English language and study skills support, the ELTC has a course for you.

Established in 2006, the ELTC has a broad portfolio of English language and university preparation courses. The centre has been nominated for a number of awards related to the development and delivery of  cutting edge English courses (Times Higher Education, Cambridge University Press: English Speaking Union).

The centre is located on the Cyncoed campus of Cardiff Metropolitan University, convenient for travelling to and from the city centre as well as the numerous parks and gardens that Cardiff has to offer.

Students at the ELTC will find that the training they are given will give them an advantage over many of their peers, a solid base of English language knowledge and a good understanding of university life in the UK. They will meet friendly staff who are experienced, well-qualified and understanding of the challenges of learning languages overseas.​
