Bywgraffiad 

Mae Gareth Loudon yn Athro Creadigrwydd a Deon Cyswllt (Ymchwil) yn Ysgol Celf a Dylunio Caerdydd (CSAD). Mae'n un o gyd-sylfaenwyr y grŵp ymchwil Dylunio sy'n Canolbwyntio ar y Defnyddiwr (UCD) yn CSAD ac mae hefyd yn gyd-sylfaenydd a Chyfarwyddwr y Ganolfan Creativity Ltd sy'n ymgymryd ag ymchwil, hyfforddiant ac ymgynghoriaeth ym meysydd allweddol creadigrwydd.
 
Mae Gareth Loudon yn Athro Creadigrwydd yn Ysgol Gelf a Dylunio Caerdydd (CSAD) ac yn gyd-sylfaenydd a Chyfarwyddwr y Ganolfan Creadigrwydd Cyf sy'n ymgymryd ag ymchwil, hyfforddiant ac ymgynghoriaeth mewn meysydd allweddol o greadigrwydd. Mae hefyd yn un o gyd-sylfaenwyr grŵp ymchwil UCD yn CSAD. 
 
Mae ei ddiddordebau ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar greadigrwydd, chwarae ac arloesi, gan gyfuno syniadau o anthropoleg a seicoleg, peirianneg a dylunio. Cyn hynny, bu’n gweithio i Apple Research ac Ericsson Research wrth ddylunio a datblygu meddalwedd newydd a chynhyrchion sydd wedi’u hymgorffori mewn cyfrifiaduron. Mae ganddo dros 30 mlynedd o brofiad mewn ymchwil academaidd a diwydiannol ac mae wedi mynd â sawl syniad ymchwil yr holl ffordd drwodd i gynhyrchion masnachol ar gyfer cwmnïau mawr fel Apple. 
 
Mae gan Gareth chwe phatent i'w enw a dros 90 o gyhoeddiadau i gyd. Mae wedi ennill llawer o wobrau gan gynnwys y Wobr Cynnyrch Meddalwedd Orau yn COMDEX Asia, ac am ei waith dylunio cysyniad gan IDSA / BusinessWeek. 
 
Mae Gareth yn Beiriannydd Siartredig, yn Gymrawd y Sefydliad Peirianneg a Thechnoleg, yn Gymrawd yr Academi Addysg Uwch ac yn aelod o Goleg Adolygu Cymheiriaid AHRC.


Ymchwil gyfredol 

Mae ei waith ymchwil cyfredol yn canolbwyntio ar gefnogi dysgu creadigol; dylunio amgylcheddau efelychiadol ar gyfer gwerthuso cynnyrch; dylunio ar gyfer y byd sy'n datblygu; ac wrth helpu sefydliadau gyda'u strategaethau a'u prosesau creadigrwydd.
 
Mae ei waith ymchwil cyfredol yn y grŵp Ymchwil UCD yn canolbwyntio ar ddylunio amgylcheddau efelychiadol ar gyfer profi defnyddwyr a dylunio dyfeisiau meddygol ar gyfer y byd sy'n datblygu. Mae ei waith ymchwil i greadigrwydd yn edrych ar y ffactorau ac mae'r prosesau sy'n effeithio ar greadigrwydd yn cynnwys agweddau fel 'Cyflwr Bod' unigolyn gan gynnwys y cysyniad o 'sylw llif'.
